Hamlet

Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, Doctor Strange) plays the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy in a production now seen by more than 800,000 people worldwide.

As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralyzed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state.

“One of the most visually and atmospherically stunning productions I’ve ever seen, of anything, ever” (Time Out).

General admission seating. All National Theatre Live screenings take place downtown in Buck Hall’s Landis Cinema. Buck Hall is located at the corner of North Third and Snyder Streets.

Presented in partnership with the Lafayette College Theater Department.
