Four cornerstone works of the Baroque solo oboe repertoire — Handel’s Sonatas HWV 357, 363a, and 366, and Telemann’s Sonata TWV 41:a3 — are presented here in newly prepared modern editions by the performer. This recital celebrates what makes the Baroque solo sonata unique: an intimate dialogue between melody and bass, ornamented with grace and shaped by the art of improvisation.
